Phone Scam Alert

Patients have told us that they have been receiving calls with a Caller ID from the Boothbay Region Health Center or from “Dr. Oliphant’s Office” that are NOT from us. Our IT guys are on it. Hopefully, we have blocked these calls. But, if you receive such a call and do not recognize the person on the phone as one of our staff members, please feel free to hang up and call back directly to our number: 207 633 1075. This is an example of “phone spoofing,” when someone copies a phone number and pretends to be calling from that number. Whatever you do, do NOT give out personal health information, your Medicare number, or any insurance or payment information to anyone over the phone without first double-checking with whom you are speaking!

As a community we can:

1. Take local control of our primary health service.

2. Establish a patient-driven primary care practice model

3. Increase access and use primary health care services appropriately.

4. Make both individual and community-wide choices that will result in improved health status.

1. Get a higher percentage of the population into an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider.

2. Reduce perhaps by half the number of unnecessary Emergency Department and Urgent Care visits.

3. Achieve a demonstrable improvement in the health status of the community.
