Meet our New SuperStars!

September 24, 2023

Sherry Moody, Nationally Certified Medical Assistant & Office Manager (left) and Susan Gay, Medical Receptionist (right)

We’re excited to welcome two very seasoned professionals to handle front office duties and assist our medical providers. Sherry Moody has joined us a Medical Assistant and Medical Office Manager. Susan Gay has joined us as Medical Receptionist. We also have new medical billers, Kristin Conlin and Jennifer Lambert, who will be happy to help you with any billing issues.

Sherry became a Nationally Certified Medical Assistant in 2019. She has worked at Kennebec Valley Radiology, Kennebec Valley obGYN, Maine General Health’s Winthrop Family Practice, Freeport Family Medicine, DFD Russell Medical Center in Monmouth, Central Maine Healthcare in Topsham, and Northern Sun Family Healthcare in Topsham. Her duties included both assisting medical providers, drawing labs, medical billing, and running a busy medical office.

Susan Gay comes to us from Hannaford Pharmacy, where she served most recently as a Pharmacy Technician. Before that, Susan served as Medical Outreach Manager for MaineHealth in Rockland. In that role, she assisted un-insured and under-insured patients to obtain health care coverage. Before that, Susan was a Patient Service Representative also for MaineHealth, scheduling patients, handling referrals and prior authorizations with insurers and helping patients through stressful circumstances. Susan has also worked for Maine Family Planning and with Wellness Connection of Maine. She is delighted to be joining our staff, and is particularly fond of Dr. Teel, who delivered one of her children. Please Join Us in Welcoming both of them!

St Andrews Urgent Care

Don’t Pay ER Prices for Urgent Care

The Lincoln Health Urgent Care facility on St. Andrews campus bills out as a Type B Emergency Room, even though it provides Urgent Care level of service. That’s because the St. Andrews Urgent Care operates as a “satellite” of Miles Memorial Hospital in Damariscotta. What that billing designation means in practice is that the costs […]

As a community we can:

1. Take local control of our primary health service.

2. Establish a patient-driven primary care practice model

3. Increase access and use primary health care services appropriately.

4. Make both individual and community-wide choices that will result in improved health status.

1. Get a higher percentage of the population into an ongoing relationship with a primary care provider.

2. Reduce perhaps by half the number of unnecessary Emergency Department and Urgent Care visits.

3. Achieve a demonstrable improvement in the health status of the community.
